Wood is the most honest material there is. It grows, breathes, and tells a story. That is why at Polsteroase, we exclusively use FSC™-certified solid wood and veneer – from forests where sustainable management practices are followed, fair wages are paid, and nature retains its place.

Travertine
Travertine comes from the earth – and you can tell. Quiet patterns, warm tones, a surface that never looks the same twice. It brings nature indoors without imposing itself. Paired with wood, it creates a space that instantly feels right.
Marble
Marble cannot be reproduced. Every slab, every pattern, every shade is the result of millions of years of nature – unique, unrepeatable. No piece of marble furniture is like another. That is no coincidence. That is the material.
Veneer
Veneer is wood – just thinner. Cut from the tree trunk, it retains everything that makes solid wood what it is: the grain, the warmth, the character. At the same time, it requires less raw material and is more uniform and stable. Natural, without being wasteful.
Genuine leather
Our leather comes from responsible sources and is fully traceable – from its origin to the finished piece of furniture. Tanned to the highest standards, soft to the touch and available in a wide range of elegant colours.
Teak from responsible forestry
Our teak is 100% FSC™ certified. It is grown on grassland—never at the expense of natural forest land—and cultivated with minimal pesticide use. Undergrowth is removed by hand and used as natural fertilizer, which promotes biodiversity. The result: high-quality wood and a healthier ecosystem.
Ceramics
No two pieces of ceramics are alike. Each is handcrafted—with small differences that make it unique. Earthenware, rustic and tactile. Porcelain, delicate and timeless. Both beautiful, both durable, both made for tables where people love to sit.
Glass
Glass is honest. It hides nothing, needs no cladding, and lasts a lifetime. From tempered glass to mouth-blown crystal – each type has its own quality, its own effect on a room.
Concrete
Concrete is the material of quiet spaces. Its surface evokes modern architecture and raw industrial aesthetics—while always remaining natural. Cement, sand, stone, water. That is all it takes for a material with such character.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel needs no embellishment. Its strength lies in its simplicity – clear, calm, striking. Polished, it shines; brushed, it has a matte finish. Both are beautiful, both are durable, both are easy to care for. A material that lasts.
Brass
Some details only become apparent on second glance – and then they stick in your memory. Brass is one such detail. Warm in tone, elegant in its luster, understated in its appearance. We use brass-plated steel – as sturdy as stainless steel, as warm as brass.
Laminate
Not every material needs to be loud. Laminate works quietly – soft to the touch, strong in everyday use, open to design.

Down and feathers
You can feel what makes a pillow truly great—you can't see it. Down and feathers provide a softness that no synthetic material can replicate. All our down and feathers come from responsible sources and meet the EN 12935 standard for hygiene and cleanliness.
Paper cord and French willow weaving
Some materials don’t need inventing—they just need the right hands. French willow and Danish paper cord are as old as the craft itself. FSC™-certified and handmade for nearly 100 years, paper cord has shaped iconic Scandinavian furniture. We use it because it’s beautiful. And because it lasts.
Recycled Materials
What already exists does not need to be newly sourced. Recycled materials are not a last resort for us – they are a conscious choice. For less consumption, more responsibility, and furniture that can come into your home with a clear conscience.
Wool
Wool is one of the oldest and most honest materials in the world. It warms, bounces back and holds – by nature. Our wool fabrics are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, 100% biodegradable and the fibers are recyclable. A material that gives, without taking.
Jute and seagrass
Jute and seagrass come straight from nature – and bring it with them. Handcrafted, durable, and 100% biodegradable. Jute is made from the strong fibers of the jute plant, seagrass from dried aquatic plants that mature in the sun. Materials as honest as their origins.
